Satin & Lace

As I contemplate my options for a friend's upcoming dinner party, I wondered just how many fellow fashionistas were mentally sorting through their wardrobe pondering the same thing. Quick fix or full out glam? Tight schedule? Here are some reasons to treasure your current Satin pieces and pick-up a few more this holiday season.

Whether as a dress, top, skirt or pants, Satin is the way to go as you make the rounds this holiday season. A demure satin blouse (think Michelle New York, Alice&Trixie) can be worked easily from day to evening. For your 9 to 5, slip your blouse under a fitted blazer, paired with either tailored trousers or fitted pencil skirt and finished off with the perfect pair of pumps. Transform your look for a night on the town by switching out the blazer for a sexy fitted leather jacket, adding a fierce clutch (think sequins, color & leather- Treesje, Seril, Andrea Brueckner, B-Low the Belt, SHIH, KC Malhan) vamping up your accessories by replacing the understated earrings (Alexis Bittar) and delicate pendant necklace (Meredith Hahn, Gorjana) with exaggerated ear candy (Adha Zelma, Citrine by the Stone), timeless bracelets (Elizabeth Cole, CC Skye) and fabulous rings (Noir). Satin dresses look best when they fit properly and are paired with the perfect pair of stilettos (Pour La Victoire, Gwyneth). For other night on the town options, pair your favorite Michelle New York full lace skirt with that sexy silk halter. For some added flair, top off the look with a stunning belt and dazzling footwear.

Be it office party, dinner party, or cocktails with your girlfriends, showcase your sexy in black satin and lace this holiday season!
